It’s Good To Be Back!

After an absence of many months, the Salem Lit Fest is returning to Salem, MA. We are currently in the planning stages for a variety of events to take place in the coming months culminating in a major festival in the Fall of 2014. Stay tuned!

  1. Greetings,
My colleagues and I from MIT Press are researching the possibility of exhibiting our journals at the 2014 Salem Lit Fest. Please, would you provide answers to the following:

    1. What are the 2014 dates?
    2. What is the price to exhibit at the Salem Lit Fest?
    3. Would you provide a list of past exhibitors?
    4. Would you provide attendance figures at the Salem Lit Fest?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks,
    Kate

  2. Hi.

I’m a local (Beverly) author, and I’ve just had exciting news. My short story about bullying and school shooting, titled “Shit Weasel Is Late For Class,” was chosen as the 2013 James Knudsen Prize for fiction from Bayou Magazine and University of New Orleans.

The story takes its title from a nickname one of the bullies pins on his victim, and was, in part, inspired by an incidence of bullying that ended with a murder in my home town in 1993.

I’m interested in the Salem Litfest, and I’d love to share the story (forthcoming in Bayou this Fall) and my CV with you if you are interested.

    Thanks!

    Michael Gerhard Martin, MFA

  3. I am writing to offer myself as a presenter at your literary Festival. I have taught speech and theatre, and periodically review plays and movies at a local TV station. I believe my novel, Coven of the Spring, would generate a great deal of interest in your area as it is based in Salem and presents a twist on the witches of Salem. I spent a week in Salem researching before writing it. I would be happy to supply you with a copy of my book for review, as well as my credentials and full synopsis upon request.
The Coven of the Spring was released late last year, and won first prize in a writer’s contest by Midwest Review. I have also published a book entitled Acid, and in April, my third novel Emerald will be released. All of them were published by Total Recall Publishers of Fairview, TX. The Coven of the Spring is a light fantasy adventure novel.
